The Hermitage
The existing “hermitages” are small residential structures originally intended for use by persons seeking solitude and a place for reflection. One of these structures is proposed to be converted into a ‘windows on wildlife’ facility or a place for viewing wildlife equipped with large windows and surrounded by feeders, water sources and wildlife plantings.
The building would be completely accessible and would be outfitted with sound amplification devices and other interpretive and design elements to accommodate persons with mobility or sensory disabilities and provide for unique wildlife viewing opportunities.
